Deborah Davis, Jan Patricia Lewis
This guide is intended to help parents understand more about how their children learn to read. It gives parents ideas about what to expect at different ages and stages of reading development, suggestions for what they can do at home, and lists of favorite books they can find in most libraries to read with their child. Thirteen points that parents should understand about reading are explained. The guide contains a glossary of terms and a list of fourteen additional publications for parents who are interested in obtaining more information on the subject. (Contains 15 references.)
