This handbook was written for adults working in public school classrooms with students who have significant visual impairments. Those adults need to know skills specific to blindness, need to articulate each of their roles, and they need to develop systems for collaborating with each other. This book is designed to be a tool for this training and planning process. The six chapter headings are: (1) Introduction; (2) Training, Braille; (3) Training, Orientation & Mobility; (4) Training, Social and Learning Factors; (5) Planning, Roles and Responsibilities; and (6) Procedures and Preferences.
