This chart is designed to help parents, child care providers, and preschool staff to recognize possible problem areas in a child's vision, hearing, and development. The chart tracks the developmental stages of children from birth to age 6 in the areas of thinking skills, social skills, listening and talking skills, and activity skills. Activity skills are divided into small muscle and large muscle activities. Directions for using the chart are provided.
